FREE Nurse Manager Training Resource Offered
In response to a growing need among nurses for management training opportunities, The Johnson & Johnson Campaign for Nursing's Future created "The Virtual Nurse Manager," a CD-ROM available without charge to every hospital in the U.S.
The interactive software program challenges nurse managers to learn everything from time management to conflict resolution and more effectively dealing with staffing shortages. Featuring six multiple-choice "scenarios," the program includes video of real-life nurse managers sharing the guidance they wish someone had given them during their careers. Each educational CD-ROM can be used by multiple nurses, at home or at work.
Copies of "The Virtual Nurse Manager," as well as other resources, including posters, brochures and lapel pins promoting the nursing profession, are available free of charge as part of The Campaign's ongoing efforts to alleviate the nursing shortage.
