Pediatric Palliative Care Room to Open at Goryeb Children's Hospital
Morristown, NJ, February 2013 – Liam’s Room, a New Jersey-based non-profit organization that provides inpatient comprehensive care rooms and support to families whose child is faced with complex medical and life-limiting conditions, and Atlantic Health System, one of the largest non-profit health care systems in New Jersey, announced today the construction of a Liam’s Room at Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown.
Morristown and Overlook Medical Centers Chosen for CMS Bundling Demonstration
Morristown, NJ, February 2013 – Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center, part of Atlantic Health System, have been selected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to participate in an expanded innovative program designed to control costs and improve quality by bundling payments for defined episodes of care. Known as the New Jersey Hospital Association “gain sharing” pilot project, it launched in 2009 and was limited to 12 hospitals. The expanded project will allow its promising reforms to be tested on a much broader scale statewide.

Seeking an RN to provide perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in both the scrub and circulating roles. The successful candidate must be an accredited school of nursing, BSN is strongly recommended.

Current NJ RN license, BSN strongly recommended. CCRN preferred. At least 2 years of critical care experience required, must have ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and have knowledge of IIABP, TVP's and CVVH technology. RN to provide patient care in a cardiac critical care setting.

Seeking an NP to assess physical, developmental and psychosocial health statusof patients in an ambulatory clinic. Current NJ NP license, and BLS required. The successful candidate must have a cardiology background; experience with Horizon Ambulatory Care (HAC) electronic medical recordsoftware is a plus.
